It rained in many parts of Hyderabad on Sunday. The weather suddenly cooled in the evening, and clouds formed in the sky. There were no traffic snarls at the inundated areas as the lockdown was in force.

However, the police kept a vigil on the roads.

It rained heavily in some areas like Koti, Abids, Begumbazar, Nampally, and Basheerbagh. Lakdikapool, Narayanaguda, Himayatnagar, Khairatabad, Somajiguda, Kukatpally, Hydernagar, Balajinagar, KPHB, Bowenpally, Alwal, Tirumalagiri, Pragati Nagar, and Miyapur.

GHMC has put its teams on alert as the IMD officials predict rain in the next two days. With rain and thundershowers occurring towards evening or night the police kept a vigil so that the people don’t come onto the roads against the lockdown.

However, the rains brought some relief to the city, struggling with the heat. IMD officials say the maximum temperature in the city is likely to be in the 28-32 degree Celsius range.
