Yes, Sharmila is doing padayatra in bits and pieces in a phased manner against the TRS and its boss K Chandrasekhar Rao. But she is not getting the buzz and the acceptance as expected.
There is also a talk that her husband, Brother Anil would be starting a new party against Jagan the CM in Andhra Pradesh. But there is no proper acceptance or invitation from the people for the same.
There is a rumour that Sharmila the daughter of YS Rajasekhar Reddy the former CM has been drafted by the BJP to counter KCR. But this will only help KCR in the long run.
She will take the congress vote and also the Christian vote which will reduce the chances of the Congress party and will help TRS to win the election in many seats with a slender margin.
Sharmila will not win and she only will mar the chances of the BJP. AAP is also coming to Telangana, so that will also help KCR in a big way to come to power again.
MIM will support TRS and the minority vote will go to the MIM in the majority and to some extent to the Congress in some parts of the state. If TRS can get forty seats it will come back to power with the help of MIM.
Sharmila is unable to reach out to the grass-root level and touch the base like Revanth Reddy and KCR. Somewhere the people are of the opinion that she has come to divide the vote.
First of all the BJP leaders are themselves not united in Telangana. There are two groups already. One is upper caste and the other is lower caste.
Bandaru, Venkaiah, Kishan Reddy, and Dr Laxman are old-timers. Bandi Sanjay and Etela are new comers. The Presence of Amit Shah in Telangana will not make any difference.
As long as Jagan and KCR distribute money in various forms, the people will vote for them only. Corruption is no election issue these days. Money reaching into the voters’ accounts or hands is the final in thing.
