Secunderabad club which is popular in Hyderabad and Secunderabad was on fire this morning. A massive fire broke out at the iconic Secunderabad Club located in the city on Sunday early morning. The library, Bar, and the administration building are among the destroyed structures in the fire.
The Club, which was founded in 1878, is one of the five oldest clubs in the country. As per preliminary reports, the damage to the property has been estimated to be at Rs 20 crores.
The fire, which broke at around 3 am in the morning, was brought down in 3 hours. Around 10 fire engines were rushed to the spot as soon as the fire broke out, reports said.
Water was rushed to the club in tankers. The Elite Club is spread on a sprawling campus of 30 acres and has 5000 members.
The Club, which was earlier known as Garrison Club, has around 300 staffers working here.
