Hyderabad Press club results stopped by Court?

The results of the elections held to the Hyderabad Press Club were stayed by the Court it is learnt. A high-voltage political battle was witnessed on the day of the polling here on Sunday.

The elections so far have not been released officially. The journalists were virtually divided on caste and regional lines to grab power in the Press Club Hyderabad.

Holding positions in Press Club brings them closer to the power centres and hence, capturing the management committee holds a lot of importance.

The ruling party here and some officials from the ruling party of AP were indirectly involved in the elections. Hema Sunder the returning officer made a formal complaint that Suraj one of the candidates for the President post threatened him.

So far the results were not announced officially, but Saakshi the newspaper owned by Jagan the AP CM has published the results. Suraj works for T News and supported by the TRS lost the election and alleged that there were malpractices in the election.

It is reported that the court has ordered a stay on the results.
