Commissioner Of Police, Cyberabad Sri VC Sajjanar, IPS., along with officials inaugurated Women Help Desk at RGIA Airport. Speaking to the Media Cyberabad CP said.. Telangana Police and Cyberabad Police are very much committed to the safety of women and children. In this regard to help women and ensuring safety and security of women a dedicated Help Desk for Women was launched today CP added.

RGIA is the 4th busiest airport in India after Delhi, Mumbai and Bangaluru airports. RGIA handles 22 million passengers per annum, Approximately 62000 passengers per day. 30 to 35 % of these passengers are women which is around 9000 to 9500 passengers for both arrival and departure he added.

In order to help women who are travelling to Hyderabad on work or other reasons Cyberabad Police has taken the initiative to establish Women Help Desk at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport for women to reach out for help in case of any emergency. The desk will be monitored by the RGIA Police Station. There will be a women police constables available 24*7 at the help desk to help the women.

Cyberabad Police request all the women suffering from teasing, stalking or any other atrocity to approach the SHE teams by sending whatsapp messages to the mobile No.9490617444 or DIAL:100. SHE Teams Cyberabad is catering to the needs of increasing number of women who are coming forward to register complaints. Total 10 teams are working in Cyberabad to cater the needs of more number of women and children.

Apart from this, SHE Teams keep a sharp eye on the miscreants causing nuisance in public places. Total 1528 complaints were received in 2020 from women victims through different means like Whatsapp, email, Hawkeye, direct walkin etc.
