AP CM Jagan Mohan Reddy the son of former Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy has decided to close the AP Legislative council. It was his father who revived the council which was closed by the Late Chief Minister of TDP NT Rama Rao.

It was reopened by YS Rajasekhar Reddy and now the same is being closed by Jaganmohan Reddy the young CM of YSRC. A resolution is to be moved in the Assembly by the YSRC Government this noon.

But it is not that easy to close the council. The central government has to approve the closure in the Parliament. Constitutional experts say that it will take another 2 years to close the council.

The majority of the members in the council are from the TDP and that is the reason the Government has decided to close it. Lokesh the son of former CM Chandrababu Naidu is also an MLC.
