This is the season in Hyderabad when gusting winds and thundering clouds marks the beginning of the day. Day 2 at Hyderabad Sailing Week was even more exciting.
Beautiful sight of the sails amongst picturesque view of the Buddha Statue was a sight to watch. Laser sailors had a pleasant day as there was no respite from strong winds. Wind was ranging from 08-10 knots and was gusting upto 15 knots.
The lake proved true to it’s name Hussain Sagar as with the gusting winds one could easily spot waves and sea horse. In Laser Std class it was a thrilling fight between Deepak Kumar Saini and Mohit Saini.
Deepak Kumar Saini covered up the lead as he got one gun position in race 4 but Israj Ali is still in lead as he got a gun in race 6.
In Laser 4.7 Class Chunnu Kumar covered up the lead as he got one gun position in race 4 but Ritika Dangi is still in lead as he got two guns in race 5 & 6. In Laser Radial (Men) category there was a enthusiastic spirit of Veera V Vaishnavi, Finally Veera V Vaishnavi star of the day, she exciting fight amongst Rammilan Yadav, Sikhanshu Singh & Awnish Yadav.
Finally Rammilan Yadav got a gun positin in race 4, Shikanshu Singh got a gun position in race 5 & Awnish Yadav got a gun position in race 6. In Laser Radial (Women) category got a all three guns in race 4, 5 & 6. SBI Bank Manager Santosh Kumar was guest of Honour for the day. A prize Distribution ceremony was conducted for winners of days races. Overall it was a good day for sailors to sail.
