Etela Rajender who has announced his resignation for the MLA post and also the TRS, may not contest from Huzurabad it is reported. His wife will be fielded from the constituency it is rumoured.
While some of the BJP leaders are saying that Etela will join the BJP in Delhi in the presence of party National Chief Nadda, Etela is yet to give clarity on his joining the party.
There is a talk that Etela has told the reporters in a chit chat that he will join the BJP on 11nth.
He did not utter a word about the BJP in the press meet. Vivek Venkatswamy was assigned the job of taking Etela into the party. Vivek is also in talks with Konda Vishweshwar Reddy the heavyweight from Rangareddy district.
Both Etela and also Konda are heavyweights in Telangana and it makes a lot of difference to the BJP with their presence. Mrs Etela has recently addressed a press meet and that shows that she is inclined to contest in place of her husband.
Etela has apprehensions that the TRS might not allow him to win and fielding his wife would be the right option. Even if she loses the election that will not make any difference.
The BJP high command will ensure that Etela is given a good post at the centre so that he can take on the TRS with all might and power. The first choice of Etela was to start a new political outfit.
But he will not have any power with the new political party and he desperately needs protection to safeguard his assets and properties. So there is no other option but for joining the BJP.
