In a severe setback to the Congress party in the Hyderabad city, one of the heavyweights of the party Dananam Nagendar who was also the chief for the party has quit the party today. It was like shocking news to the Congress circles where the party is already in the ICU here.
Danam was supposed to join the TRS long back but, Ghulamnabi Azad went to his house and convinced him not to change the party. Now unable to set the record straight with the PCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy, Danam said that he is quitting Congress and would come up with the future course of action on Saturday.
Danam has a good number of followers and is a popular man in Hyderabad. It is a sever set back to the Congress party and there is no second thought about it. Danam was almost in the underground for quite a long time and now he thought it fit to come out of the party as the elections are fast coming.
There is a chance that Danam could be fielded against the Chintala Ramachandra Reddy the BJP MLA from Khairatabad. Danam was in Congress, then contested on TDP, later came back to Congress now he is all set to join the TRS it is learnt. However, there is no official confirmation on this front.
