People say politics is the last resort of a scoundrel . This is just a saying. But when you look at our city Politician Nagendar he has been changing the political parties suiting his needs from time to time. There was a time when he changed the party over night. You can call Nagendar a pure opportunist to the core.

Now with indications that his name figured in the gangster Nayeem Diary, there are rumors that Nagendar is trying to save himself by joining the TRS. His earlier attempt to join the TRS was stalled by the party cadres. Now he has met the CM KCR and also the Minister for IT K Taraka Rama Rao. Nagendar clarified that this was not for political reasons.

Danam-Nagender

But one cannot believe him. In fact his close associate and Chela MLC Prabhakar from the Congress recently joined the TRS. Now perhaps to avoid the Nayeem episode Nagendar could be again trying to join the TRS.

In fact Nagendar was not active with the Congress party since a long time. He even did not work for the Congress during Municipal elections in City. He went into hibernation and was said to be having differences with the T Congress higher ups here in Telangana. Senior congress leader Ghulam Nabhi Azad visited his house and cajoled him not to change the party. But it looks like there is no other way for Nagendar if Nayeem jottings in the diary are correct and if they can be proved.

Once during the General elections Nagendar resigned to Congress party as he was offered an MP seat from Secunderabad. He refused to take the seat as his opponent was the giant Dattanna who is now the Union Minister. Nagendar overnight could get the , TDP ticket and won from Asifnagar with the help of Srinivas Yadav the Minister who is in TRS now. But the Government was formed by Congress under YSR. He resigned to TDP and got the congress ticket and was defeated by the MIM.

He was locked with the congress. Later he won from Khairatabad and became a Minister. He was involved in several controversies in Hyderabad and had differences within the party. Tried to join the TRS, but could not succeed. Now it looks he is on the trail again to change the party for good.

It has to be seen what decision will the CM and TRS chief take in the near future about this man who can change colors like a chameleon.
