‘Taj Mahal monument was originally a Shiva temple and a Rajput palace named Tejo Mahalaya, which was taken over by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan.
Oak’s book mentions that Shah Jahan turned the palace into a tomb and named it Taj Mahal.
Oak penned several books which had several contentious claims about Taj Mahal, Fatehpur Sikri and Lal Quila.
Oak described Delhi’s Lal Quila or Red Fort a Hindu palace and Fatehpur Sikri a Hindu town. But his mentions had gone unnoticed then.
Oak had even raised questions about Christianity calling it “Krishn Niti”. Oak, who was born in Indore in 1917, also asserted that the Vatican was originally a Vedic creation called Vatika.
