Yes the state police in Andhra Pradesh just ignored the orders of the SPG in the PM meeting. The police inside the meeting premises acted as mute spectators.

They did not allow the garland and also the memento to be presented to PM Modi by the organisers. The local police were alerted by the police to see that the public don’t fall on the sound systems.

But the police did not act even after PM Modi suggested them to get the people down from the power towers in the meeting area.

The TDP, Jana Sena and BJP cadres submitted a complaint to the Chief Election Commissioner that the three IPS officers should be removed from election duties for their lackadaisical attitude in providing tight security for the meeting attended by VVIPs.

Three IPS officers — Intelligence Chief PSR Anjaneyulu, Guntur Range DIG Balraju, Palnadu district SP Ravisankar Reddy, are likely to face action for ignoring the duty at the PM Modi meeting.

An inquiry has been ordered into the inadequate security at the Praja Galam meeting and if it is proved that the police intentionally neglected the protection of the VVIPs, then action will be initiated against them.
