GHMC elections

Bagh Amberpet recorded the highest percentage of polling today. Around 30 percent of polling has been recorded across the city in all the 150 divisions.

It is assumed that around 40 percent polling would be recorded by 6pm this evening. More than 1000 candidates are in the fray. But the voting process is very slow and the people are not enthusiastic.

MIM,TRS and BJP are fighting a pitched battle in some divisions. The police are facing allegations that they are helping the ruling party. But there are instances where the MIM attacked the TRS candidates also.

Last night TRS candidate attacked on Bandi Sanjay the BJP chief. His vehicle was damaged at the Necklace road and he was sent away in a different vehicle by the police.

The police could not prevent the attack on the BJP chief. The BJP leaders are of the opinion that the TRS leaders KCR and KTR have created scare among the people and they did not come for voting.

We can say that the election commission has failed in luring the voters to the election booths. The people were not enthused to vote for the GHMC elections.

perhaps they thought that it will be of no use to vote to any of the parties.
