Hyderabad: S Apoorwa, India’s one of finest carrom players, representing LIC of India emerged victorious, in the State ranking 3rd late VA Sarm & IIndiramba memorial carrom tournament which concluded at Anandnagar Welfare Association Sports Academy on Thursday.
Apoorwa quite comfortably defeated Savita Devi of Postal 20-11; 25-09 to win the women’s title. Although Inspite of haning many international titles to her name, Apoorva does not leave chance to play any kind of tournament.
G Madhavi overcame BSunitha Devi of DLRL in straight games 23-15; 15-13 to secure third place.
