They said that the BJP leaders have no right to visit the State as they have failed to fulfil the promises given to the people at the time of election. They further recalled that the BJP leaders at the Tirupati election meeting have promised 10 years of Special Category Status to the State, fill the Rs 16,000 crore revenue gap, fund the prestigious Polavaram Project and the Capital city and establishing railway zone for the State.

The farmers’ leaders said that the BJP government had failed to fulfil not even a single promise. The revenue gap was not filled yet. The government did not take up the Polavaram project with full funds. The government had not released money for the capital city and had left the issue to the State government dropping the Sivaramakrishnan Committee recommendations, they alleged. The railway zone is not yet cleared despite the people fighting for it, they said.

The leaders accused the BJP and the TDP government of going against the interests of the farmers. The governments have neglected Andhra Pradesh in river water sharing and had not fulfilled the promise of total loan waiver for the farmers. The TDP had compromised with the BJP leadership on dropping the special category status and had settled for the special package. Even the package was not given the Constitutional guarantee, they said.

Having failed to help the State after bifurcation and having failed to fulfill even a single promise, the BJP chief had no right to visit the people, they asserted. They appealed to the farmers, farm laborers and the people across the State to hold protests against the visit of Amit Shah to the State.
