Reliance JIO Chairman Mukesh Ambani launched the Jio Fiber called as Jio Giga Fiber and it is the home broadband solution. The announcement was made in Mumbai that Jios broadband service would be made available in 1100 cities soon.Jio GigaFiber has a router along with the Jio Giga TV set-top Box. One can make video calls to other Giga TV users to the mobile connections anywhere in the country.
The device has the speeds up to 1Gbps. It will be the biggest fixed-line broadband service in the world so far. The consumers will get Ultra HD entertainment on TV, multi-party video conferencing, voice-activated virtual assistant, virtual gaming and shopping and also smart home solutions.
Users can connect VR headsets to the Giga Fiber network and view 360-degree content on the 4k resolution. The registrations will start from August 15. Jio already has invested 250000 crores for the setup. .Reliance Jio has 215 million active connections so far.
