For managing the blood sugar the nutritionists have come up with a novel Tea called the Karela Tea made of dried bitter Gourd slices or leaves. Using slices is better. All you have to do is put the bitter gourd slices and boil the water for 10 minutes. Then take the water and let the pieces soak in water for some time. The filter the water and take them in a cup or a small glass. Add some honey to suit your taste.

People who do not have diabetes also can have the karela tea for cleansing the liver and intestines from time to time. It will also kill the worms in the intestines and helps in digestion of the food.
