Today is the last day of Ganesh Navrathri. The festival culminates with a huge Shobha Yatra where all the idols come in procession and are immersed in the Sagar lake waters.
More than a lakh of Ganesh idols are expected to immersed in lake waters under heavy police bundobust. The Nimajjan process has already begun in the morning people from all walks of life have come to the Liberty crossroads to witness the Ganesh Shoba Yatra.
Control rooms were established to oversee the process round the clock. The Nimajjan process will continue till late in the night and till the early hours of Sunday.
The Khaiaraabad Ganesh has already started his movement towards the Lake waters. The leaders of BJP and Ganesh Utsav Samithi greeted the Idols coming from across the city to the Sagar waters.
The pandal owners and the shop keepers distributed water and prasad all along the route of the Shoba Yatra.
