Tollywood Superstar Nagarjuna’s and Amalas youngest son actor Akhil Akkineni got engaged to his girlfriend of two years Shriya Bhupal, in a private ceremony in Hyderabad .
The engagement, reportedly, was a very close affair, as only family and close friends from the southern fraternity were invited.
The ceremony had performances from Telugu music director Anup as well as Ankit Tiwari.
There are also reports doing the rounds that the couple will have a destination wedding, and that too, in Italy. According to the reports, the Akkinenis will get 600 odd guests to fly to Italy.
The couple only revealed their relationship to their parents a year post their relationship.
Shriya is the granddaughter of renowned business tycoon GVK Reddy of GVK hotels and GVK power.
The successful designer also officially handles Filmfare South. She has worked with the likes of Alia Bhatt, Shraddha Kapoor, Kajal Aggarwal and Rakul Preet Singh.
Akhil’s elder sibling and popular Tollywood actor Naga Chaitanya’s wedding to actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu has been delayed, for the longest time.
Samantha, who also was present at the ceremony, tweeted wishing the couple good luck.
