Mahesh Babu’s Spyder, the spy thriller directed by AR Murugadoss, will hit the screens on September 27, according to trade tracker Ramesh Bala.
While the makers of Spyder had initially targetted June 23 to release the film, it had to be postponed because its shooting couldn’t be wrapped up in time. September is when another big film, Balakrishna’s Paisa Vasool, will also release.
The film, which is being made on a budget of over Rs 100 crore, also stars Rakul Preet Singh and SJ Suryah in important roles. Harris Jayaraj has composed the music for the film.
Spyder marks the first time collaboration of Murugadoss and Mahesh Babu. The film, according to movie sources, will be based on bio-terrorism.
Reliable sources have confirmed that an action-packed one-minute teaser is most likely to be released on August 9, to coincide with Mahesh Babu’s birthday.
