DOP turned Director Teja is making a come back after a long gap. He was the director who made some romantic and path breaking films with low budget and earned huge profits at the box office. He was encouraged by Ramoji Rao the media baron and the owner of Ramoji film city. Teja is making Nene Raju-Nene Mantri with Rana who is having he success of Baahuali-2 now. Touted to be a political drama, the film is set to see a widespread release in Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu. Teja is yet to get a hit and this like an acid test for him.
On the other hand this year marks important milestones in Kajal Aggarwal’s career. The 32-year-old actress has already completed a decade in the film industry. And now, she is gearing up for the 50th film of her career. Interestingly, life has come a full circle for her with Nene Raju Nene Mantri — her 50th project.
The film being directed by Teja, who was her first-ever director. “This film is indeed very special for several reasons. First and foremost, I’ve teamed up with my mentor Teja sir for the second time in 10 years after my debut film Lakshmi Kalyanam. He encourages me to unlearn the nuances I’ve picked up over the years and to look at my character with a fresh perspective,” says Kajal.
Rana Daggubati was another reason she loves the film. “The exchange of ideas, opinions and challenges make you think out of the box and I’ve felt this was possible because of the comfort level I share with Rana,” Kajal adds with a smile.
The film also features Ashutosh Rana, Navadeep, and Catherine Tresa in key roles.
