Cyberabad CP Stephen Raveendra, IPS., along with GHMC Commissioner Shri D.S. Lokesh Kumar, IAS., ZC (Serilingampally) Priyanka Ala, IAS., ZC (Kukatpally) V. Mamatha, Telangana State Pollution Control Board Joint Chief Environmental Scientist, Dr. MS Satyanarayana Rao, DCP Madhapur Smt. Shilpavalli, DCP Shamshabad Shri Jagadeeshwar Reddy, ACP’s, all SHOs, today held a meeting with the Ganesh idols makers to make eco-friendly statues.
Cyberabad CP said.. Ganesh idol makers should follow Hnb court directions . use natural and bio-degradable products in idol making. He stressed a committee has been set up with DCP Rank officers, GHMC and other departments for conducting training sessions to idol makers. CP assured to solve the problems of idol makers.
GHMC Commissioner Shri D.S. Lokesh Kumar, IAS., said as part of environmental conservation measures, on behalf of the State government, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) will purchase and distribute around 5 lakhs . For distributing clay Ganesh idols GHMC will provide Stadiums and Parks for idol makers’ convenience.
In addition, all necessary help in terms of providing clay, input subsidy, training shall be provided.
Telangana State Pollution Control Board Joint Chief Environmental Scientist, Dr. MS Satyanarayana Rao said.. mixing of the plaster of Paris in water pollutes the river, sea, lake, etc., and can have an adverse effect on the health of living beings.
