It is unfortunate that the TTD board has decided to close the hotels on Tirumala and is forcing the pilgrims to eat the Annadana Prasadam which is given free of cost.

In the name of banning plastic, water is sold in glass bottles and it costs Rs sixty per litre. Only one company sells the glass bottles on Tirumala.

People from the North don’t like rice food. They want rotis and who will give them is the question. TTD must give the liberty of eating the food to the pilgrims.

The pilgrims have to run from pillar to post to get free food. Earlier Emerald sweets Vijay Ram tried to sell the food to the pilgrims in the name of health. But the idea boomeranged.

Now there is a talk that the food will be given free first and then it will be sold at a nominal price.

There is a dispute in the court on the birthplace of Hanuman.

The court stopped the construction being proposed on Tirumala in the name of Hanuman birthplace. They say Hanuman was born at Kishkinda and not on Tirumala.

Some pilgrims coming for the darshan are entering the temple directly in the name of Chairman Subba Reddy. Commercial trends are creeping into Tirumala day in and day out.

The Bhakti Bhavam is coming down drastically. If you have contacts and money darshan or Balaji is no issue. The new board is trying to do all sorts of constructions here on the hill shrine.

Now they are opening a new route in the name of Annamaya margam. The TTD is trying to make the darshan hassle-free, but it should not be so easy that pilgrims dont feel the importance of the Lord.

Raising the fee of the sevas is not right.
