The Rangam lady Swarnalatha who speaks for Mahankali Ammvaru said that she is happy with the Bonalu festival worship and other things. Swarnalatha who was speaking for the god at the Mahankali Temple in Secunderabad said that people will be happy and that she is there to take care of them.
Nothing to worry Swarnalatha assured on behalf of Ammavaru. She was accompanied by Talasan srinivas Yadav the minister for Animal Husbandry.
People came in large numbers to witness and hear the Rangam program. Swarnalatha stood on a wet mud pot and gave the future prediction. She predicted that there will be heavy rains and people have some issues with the heavy rains.
But she is there to protect them Swarnalatha assured. The Temple purohits were happy with the predictions of Swarnalatha who talked about the vice of God.
With Lashkar Bonaly coming to an end, next Sunday the Ammavaru temples across the city will celebrate the Bonalu in a big way. The Bonalu is celebrated to ward of evil spirits and also seasonal diseases.
Hens and goats are sacrificed in front of the Temples. Toddy is also offered to the ammavaru in the name of saakha. Potharajulu dance to the tune of teen maar.
This marks the beginning of the festival in Ashada Masam just before the Ganesh Chaturthi.
