The MAA elections are supposed to be in September, but the hungama has started in a big way in Tollywood. Prakash Raj is responsible for this being the non local candidate.
Now Senior advocate and character artiste CVL Narasimha Rao announced that he would contest MAA (Movie Artistes Association) 2021 elections. Pitching forth the Telangana sentiment, CVL Rao explained how the artists belonging to the region are being neglected in the movie industry.
CVL Rao said he would fight against the injustice meted out to the poor and marginalised artists hailing from both the States of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
Actor Manchu Vishnu filed the nomination papers on Sunday for the post of MAA as president. As the elections for MAA president post are due in a coming couple of months, the actor released a note through his social media account describing the development works that had taken place during his stint as MAA executive vice-president.
Hema another character artist who was with YSRC and now in BJP also announced that she would contests the MAA elections. She is contesting for the post of President.
Meanwhile, senior actor Nagendra Babu, who accompanied Prakash Raj, said it was pointless to debate and discuss the issue of Prakash being non-local. Any member of the Movie Artistes Association (MAA) can contest the elections here. “Therefore, all of us have come here to extend complete support to Prakash Raj,” he added.
Another senior Star senior Naresh who is still in the MAA executive said that anybody can contest but they don’t have the right to address the press meet as the elections are to be announced. The old team is still in power he explained.
Some junior artists charged that Prakash Raj was a seefish and self centered man who never bothered about junior artists and was penalsied for his indiscipline.
There is a talk that some politicians are behind Prakash Raj and they have given the support of Mega family to him.
