It looks like the GHMC election results may get delayed today. With the Intervention of the court, it has been decided that only swastik mark designated by the SEC will be considered as vote.
But there is a chance that the SEC might go to the court , saying that all other marks on the symbol have to be taken into account as valid votes.
It is reported that there are excess number of ballot sheets in some ballot boxes when compared to the votes pooled as per the records.
The votes polled is not getting tallied with the number of ballots. If the difference of opinion continues between the ruling party and the BJP then the issue will be dragged till night.
Some of the contestants might go to court again challenging the result. The situation is very tense and fluid at the counting centres. The Postal ballot has already indicated the mood of the people that it is against the Government.
It was announced that by noon the results of the GHMC elections will be announced. But as things stand the results will delayed. It might become late in the night.
Congress leader and former MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy has opined that the people of Hyderabad are taking BJP as the alternative to the TRS. The BJP vote share has increased in the city of Hyderabad.
