There is new talk in the political corridors that the NCP under the leadership of Sharad Pawar might join hands with the BJP for forming the Government in Maharashtra.
Pawar has met Prime Minister Modi in the parliament and there are rumours that they discussed Maharashtra politics apart from the farmer’s distress in the state.
There are rumours that the Prime Minister along with Finance Minister Nirmala Seetharaman has promised Pawar that he would be made Rashtrapathi for coming to an understanding of the Power play in Maharashtra.
But the leaders with Pawar said that it was just a discussion on farmers distress and nothing about politics. This evening Pawar is scheduled to meet Congress Interim Chief Sonia Gandhi and after that things would become clear.
There is a chance that the NCP and the BJP might come together to form the Government in Maharashtra.
But BJP will have the CM for 5 years, while the NCP may get the Deputy CM post.
Right now the President’s rule is continuing in Maharashtra and the Sena leaders are not in a position to dictate terms to BJP, NCP or the Congress at this point in time.
