Prime Minister Narendra Modi was awarded the prestigious Goal Keepers global goals award here in USA. The award was presented by Microsoft chief Bill Gates. The award was instituted by Bill Gates foundation.
It is for the Swachch Bharat that Modi was selected for the award by the Gates foundation. Canada PM Justin Trudo, America former President Barack Obama also graced the occasion. Thanking the foundation PM Modi said that the people’s participation has helped them to achieve the target. He talked about building toilets and also keeping the villages clean.
He said that the Government has started the program, but the people owned it up and have made it successfully across the country. He was very happy that the bill gates foundation has recognised it and gave him this prestigious award.
This award is a proud moment for the Indians the Prime Minister opined. It was possible only with the participation of the people, in particular, Modi stated. He was overwhelmed.
