Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has held a review meeting here at Pragathi Bhavan on the guidelines of comprehensive Action Plan for the greenery, cleanliness and development of the villages. The CM said on Friday that one more review meeting would be held on the subject on Friday and after arriving at a complete understanding, a final decision would be declared. He said a final decision what points and issues should form part of the Action Plan would be decided today.
The CM said Rs 339 Crore funds both from the Central Finance Commission and the state governments would be released to the village panchayats every month well in advance and before the commencement of the Action Plan.
The CM instructed the principal secretary (Finance) Ramakrishna Rao to release the funds monthly for eight months. He said the Action Plan would commence either from October 5 or 6 and a Collectors Conference would be held before that.
The CM also suggested for the effective implementation of the Action Plan, Sarpanches, ward members, officials and other concerned should be prepared well. The CM said every gram Panchayat should prepare its one-year and five-year plan and they should be passed by the gram panchayats. Every paisa that is spent in the village should be approved by the gram Sabha, the CM said.
For Friday’s review meeting collectors of Kamareddy, Siddipet, Warangal Urban are also invited. Along with them from their districts two MPDO’s, one DFO, one DPO, one SE electricity and one CPO will join in the review meeting.
In the review meeting Ministers Sri Koppula Eswar, Sri Srinivas Goud, Sri Vemula Prashanth Reddy, MLAs Sri Laxmareddy, Sri Kale Yadaiah, MLC Sri Seri Subhash Reddy, Government’s Chief Advisor Sri Rajiv Sharma, Principal Secretary (Panchayat Raj) Sri Vikas Raj, CMO Secretary Ms Smita Sabharwal, OSD Ms Priyanka Varghese and other officials participated. Detailed discussion took place on the formulation of the Action Plan.
