BJP senior leader Biswa Bhushan Harichandran has been appointed as Andhra Pradesh governor by the President Ramnath Kovind.
The 84-year-old leader was elected to Odisha Assembly for the five times from Bhubaneshwar and Chilika. He also served as a former law minister in BJD-BJP government in Odisha in 2004. He ventured into politics in 1971 by joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Currently, ESL Narasimhan is serving as the governor of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Narasimhan who was appointed as the governor of united Andhra Pradesh has continued as the governor of both the Telugu states after bifurcation.
There is a chance that a new Governor will also be appointed to the state of Telangana. Congress leaders here in Telangana has been opposing the candidature of Narasimhan who has not been acting against the KCR Government.
Now the issue of the demolition of the state Secretariat has become a big issue. The entire opposition has stood against the KCR Government and they are completely against the demolition of the secretariat.
The case is pending in the court.
