The Motera cricket stadium, Ahmedabad is all set to be revamped to make it the Worlds largest stadium. Parimal the VicePresident of the Gujarat Cricket Association has tweeted the phots where the work is on for revamping the stadium.The stadium after completion of work will be larger than the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). It will be a proud moment for the country when the works for the stadium are completed. The Motera stadium earlier has hosted 23 one internationals and little master Sunil Gavaskar completed the 10000 runs here in this stadium.
Cricketing God Sachin Tendulkar also scored his first double century here in Motera against New Zealand. The stadium was constructed in 1982 with a capacity of around 50000. The first test was hosted here in 1983 between India and West Indies. Now it is all set to become the worlds largest stadium surpassing the MCG also. The MCG now has a seating capacity of 90000. After expansion Motera stadium will have better capacity than the MCG.
