100 crore tax notice to Sonia,Rahul Gandhi

The IT department has sent a tax notice of Rs 100 crore to Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi which is pertaining to Deccan Heral issue. The notice pertains to undeclared income from the Deccan Herald property. They are already going to the court in connection with the issue. Former Minister Chidambaram is appearing for Sonia Gandhi in this issue. The IT department has passed the orders on December 31st against Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Geroge Fernandez.

The IT department claimed that both the mother and son evaded the Tax and they have to explain for it. Chidambaram opined that it was the mistake of the IT department and that there no lapse on the side of Sonia and Rahul Gandhi. The Supreme Court is hearing the case. The IT department says more than 300 crore income has been escaped and that they are due to the extent of Rs 100 crore in the form of Tax to the Government.But Chidambaram who is arguing the case of the Gandhis says it is a mistake on the part of IT officers.
