BJP MP Nishikanth Dubey said that people are maintaining distance from the Congress Chief Rahul Gandhi as they are afraid that he would hug them. The reason is that Rahul is unmarried and that the wives of MPs might think otherwise if he hugs them ridiculed Nishikanth.
There is a row going on between the Congress and the BJP over the unscheduled and surprise hug given by Rahul to Modi in the parliament and that Modi is very unhappy with this act.
Even Rahul said that the BJP leaders and MPs are running away from him. The MP Nishikanth said that the ladies might take it in a different way as Rahul is an unmarried man. If he is married that is OK Nishikanth stated. The section 377 pertaining to Gays is still vogue and in this context, it is better to keep Rahul away he ridiculed.
Both the sides are trying to gain the upper hand for political mileage and it is reported that Modi and his core team are planning to take on Rahul and pay him back in the same coin for that surprise hug he extended in the parliament.
Speaker Sumitra Mahajan objected to the way Rahul behaved with the Prime Minister in the parliament. The idea is to chide at Rahul and make him unpopular. But Rahul is fighting them back and paying them in the same coin without any hesitation.
One has to see how far this hug politics will go on.
