The student exchange programmes taken up under the Yuva Sangam initiative enable the students discover the true soul of our country,” said Hon’ble Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan.
She said that the students from different states are having the immersive experience of other states through their visits as part of the Yuva Sangams and are discovering the true glory and our unique cultural connect of our country.
The Governor was interacting with the students from Uttarakhand, visiting Telangana State as part of the Yuva Sangam, jointly coordinated by IIT, Roorky, and NIT, Warangal, at Raj Bhavan, here, on Sunday evening.
Referring to the overarching initiative of the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharath, as envisioned by Hon’ble Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi, she said that these initiatives are helping the younger generation to understand our glorious past, our progress, and work for our even glorious future of the country.
The students from the Uttarakhand as part of their Yuva Sangam tour have visited the historic Ramappa Temple, Thousand Pillars Temples, Sammakka-Sarakka tribal deities at Medaram, and have also visited the pump houses of irrigation projects in Warangal and Karimnagar districts. In Hyderabad, the Uttarakhand contingent also visited T-Hub, Tank Bund, Golconda Fort and other important places.
The Governor appreciated the functionaries of the IIT, Roorky, and NIT, Warangal, for coordinating this Yuva Sangam and facilitating the mutual student exchange programmes between the two states.
