Meanwhile, Mamatha Banerjee the CM has banned the movie in her state. She is of the opinion that the facts have been distorted and the movie has been produced for the sake of the BJP.
The movie Kerala story is becoming a big controversy. The Government of Tamilnadu has stopped the screening of this movie. Many multiplexes are not taking this movie for screening.
The actors of the movie feel that the plight of the women has been highlighted. Producer Vipul Shah opined that this is a bold and real film. He is getting ready for all the legal issues.
Director Sudipto clarifies that it has nothing to do with religion and is dealing with human tragedy. Ram Gopal Varma our controversial director has stated that it is a real Pan India movie and that it is the reason it is doing well in many languages.
All said and done the Government must leave it to the discretion of the public or the audience in General. If they don’t like the audience will not see the movie.
Right now the movie is getting good collections and it is bound to get good viewership on OTT also.
