The coalition Government led by Kumara Swamy Gowda has fallen in Karnataka. Gowda failed the trust vote here in the Assembly this evening.

Now the stage is set for Gowda to resign and submit the same to the Governor.

The coalition got 99 numbers, while the BJP got 105 and the magic figure was 103. Gowda was seen weeping the in Assembly while he was addressing the members before the trust vote.

Yeddy said that the people were fed up with the Gowda Government. He said that the new era has started and farmers interests would be taken care of. earlier they were suffreing he opined. More importance will be given to the farming community he assured.

The BJP clearly had the upper hand here in Karnataka. Now the Governor has to invite the new CM to form the Government. While Gowda went to Governor to submit his resignation, the JDS MLAs assembled at Gowdas house.

People celebrated with BJP flags and slogans of Bharat Matha Ki jai. The BJP will stake claim to form the Government on 24th. The rebel MLAs just remained in the Hotel in Mumbai.
