On the occasion of World Red Cross Day, Governor Tamilisai extended best wishes to all the Red Cross Volunteers and Red Cross Personnel in the State of Telangana and all over the world.
Every day, they work with people facing the most vulnerable moments of their lives, be it a natural calamity, or a disaster or a pandemic. They are the first responders and frontline ambassadors.
I take this opportunity to applaud the key role played by all the Red Cross Volunteers for their invaluable contribution to the poor and the needy in their struggle of combating the pandemic COVID-19.
One must always keep in mind the seven fundamental principles of the Red Cross – humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity, and universality always.
I appeal to the people to take a step further and assist wherever the help is required to their fellow human beings.
On the occasion of World Red Cross Day, let us take a resolve to make this world free from the pandemic COVID-19. I wish all the Red Cross Volunteers and Red Cross Personnel the best of luck for doing their brave, fearless duties.
