Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU), Department of History, in collaboration with Puducherry World History Congress (PWHC) two days “Annual Second Session” concluded at the University campus, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad.
Prof.N.Rajendran, Former Vice Chancellor, Alagappa University,Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu attended Chief Guest for the program. He said that researchers should find out the uncover history of the respective states and regions, and there is no need to impose irrelevant history on the future generations S. Rajendran pointed out. Prof. Rajendran said that national and regional history should be taught as a subject from intermediate education in all states of the country.
It has been revealed that all the state governments should take initiation to be instruct in this direction, also he mentioned that,meanwhile the organization will submit a resolution in this regard.
Prof.Rohit Dasanayaka, Peradeniya University, Sri Lanka who participated as the guest of honor in this program, said that the history of South India has been introduced in Sri Lanka and that the history of India has a special place in the history of the world.
He announced that Puducherry World History Congress will be held in Sri Lanka next year. And Prof. C. Chennareddy, Former Director,Archaeology & Musuems, Hyderabad, Prof. Srinivas Vaddanam, Professor,Department of History, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, Dr.G.Dayakar,Head, Department of History, BRAOU spoke on this occasion.
Dr. Sandeep K Dasari, General Secretary (PWHC) presented a reported the details of the session wise program, he has mentioned that these type of congresses will be useful for research students and teachers.
In this two days conference research scholars, students, teachers of various Universities across the country, deans, directors, heads of the departments, historians were participated.
