The special team of Nodal AHTU, Women Safety Wing of Telangana was able to
trace Sabyasachi Das, who was missing for 9 years, is a remarkable achievement. The
reunion with his family at the office of the Addi. DGP, Women Safety Wing in
Hyderabad on 26.09.2023. It’s a testament to the dedication and hard work of the AHTU
team and brings closure to a long and difficult period of uncertainty for Sabyasachi and
his parents.
Facts of the case are that on 02.08.2014 at 03:00 PM hours Sri Ganesh Monda! S/o
Rajendranath Monda!, Rio Charminar, Hyderabad and native West Bengal State gave a
complaint and stated that on 26.07.2014 at about 02:00 PM his worker Sabyasachi Das
S/o Raghunath Das, Age: 15 years, 0cc: Goldsmith, Rio Char Kantapukur village of
Kantapuku (Post), Bagnan (Police Station), Howrah of West Bengal was left from his
house and did not return back. The complainant along with the parents of the missing boy
were searched at all possible places but in vain.
Based on the above contents of the complaint, the Station House Officer of PS.
Charminar, Hyderabad has registered a case in Crime No. 183/2014 U/Sec. 363 IPC on
02.08.2014 at 03:00 PM and investigated into. Thereafter, on 30.05.2015 the case was
transferred to CID, Telangana, Hyderabad from PS.Charminar, Hyderabad for further
effective investigation to trace out the missing boy.
During the investigation under the supervision of Superintendent of Police,
Women Safety Wing, the investigation officer, Sri K. Muthyalu, Inspector, with the co�operation of Sri P. Hareesh, Sub-Inspector of Police, Cyber Analysis Module made
sustainable efforts to trace out the missing boy and finally located the said boy is in
Cuttack of Odisha State. A special team consisting of Sri G. Mallanna (Sub-Inspector of
Police), K. Jagadishwar Rao (Police Constable) of Nodal AHTU, Women Safety Wing,
Telangana were deputed and they successfully traced the missing boy after 9 years at
Cuttack of Odisha State with the use of technology and reunited him with his family.
