Diabetes is one issue which is bothering the world. The figures are going up in an alarming fashion. Controlled diet and selective diet is one of the ways to keep the blood sugar in control.

Guava or Jam: Jam is one fruit which has a lot of fibre and it helps in controlling the sugar. Even the concoction of Jam leaves is good for the people to control sugar. Just boil some Jam leaves and drink the lukewarm jam leaves water. It reduces the sugar to a great extent.

Cinnamon or Dalchini: it looks like the bark of wood. But it has a lot of medicinal properties. It is one of the spices which is used in the food regularly. The power can be had in small portions. It can be added to the tea or it can be boiled in water and the lukewarm water can be used to check and arrest the sugar levels. Cinnamon also reduces heart disease.

Oranges: Orange is a citrus fruit and it reduces the riks of sugar. Just have the fruit raw. Juice it and take it. Even lemon juice is also good at arresting the sugar levels.

Carrots: Carrots are rich in fibre. It can be had as a vegetable and also raw as a salad. It can be used as a snack. It not only helps in reducing the sugar levels but is also good for eyes.

Clove: Cloves or lavang is also a spice used extensively in all the curries. Like Cinnamon, this spice also helps in reducing the sugar levels to a larger extent. It can also be taken directly and chewed. It helps the gums and teeth also.
