Will there be a third wave of Corona?

According to medical experts across the World, the third wave of Corona is expected after May 10. Right now the Corona is at its peak in the second wave.

Partial lockdowns, curfew are being implemented in many states of the country. The CS of Telangana has decided that there was no need for a lockdown at this point in time.

The Telangana Government might go for a weekend lockdown in case the cases of Corona go up in the state. The Borders around Telangana have been closed and only relevant people and vehicles are allowed into the state.

India accounted for 46 per cent of the new COVID-19 cases recorded worldwide last week and one in four deaths, the World Health Organization (WHO) said onMay 5.

But the PM Modi suggested that Lockdown will be the last resort. The elections across the country have been postponed to stop the rise in Corona cases.

The surge of the coronavirus in India, including a highly infectious new variant first identified there, has seen hospitals run out of beds and oxygen, and morgues and crematoriums overflowing. Many people have died in ambulances and car parks waiting for a bed or oxygen.

Worldwide, 5.7 million new cases were reported last week and more than 93,000 deaths, the WHO said in its weekly epidemiological report.

India reported nearly 2.6 million new cases, a 20 per cent increase on the previous week, and 23,231 deaths.
