With the present state of affairs in Tollywood, it looks like only mega-budget movies like RRR are here to stay. The cine-goers are rejecting the medium movies and are not bothered to go to the theatres for the small movies.

The small producers are shouting from the rooftops against the mega producers and their monopoly. But the reality is that people are rejecting the movies like Acharya also if they are bad.

It looks like the producers may not take any risk with the mid-range heroes in the near future as the audience is not coming to the theatres these days. Producers like Dil Raju are delaying some projects and not doing some other projects.

Dil Raju lost three movies in a row, and now he knows what is what. Earlier producers like Suresh and Ashwini Dut have stopped making movies for some time due to the same reason.

Now the producer’s council has decided that they will stop shootings for some time from August first. The mega producers are against this decision.

Now the producers want to make sure that they make the right movies for the audience. This will not give any work for the midrange heroes as there will be a risk in the investment for the producers.

They will go for heroes like Dhanush and Duker Salman where they can sell the movies in different languages. Pan India heroes will have the scope.

Prabha’s movie project K is being made for release in ten languages. The movie could be released in foreign languages also like Baahubali. There is a talk in Tollywood that some small films have already been shelved.
