There are rumours in the Bollywood and film industry that the wife of Raj Kundra, Shilpa Shetty may get arrested in the case of the blue films. While people say that Rak Kundra should be doing this with the help of his wife, some others say that she may not be aware of this.
There is also a talk that the police may not have sufficient evidence against Shilpa in this regard.
A Mumbai court sent Raj Kundra, husband of Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty, to police custody till July 23. The IT head of his company, Ryan Thorpe, was also arrested and sent to custody till July 23.
The so-called Businessman Raj Kundra, arrested in the case of a pornographic film, was “actually running” the mobile application which streamed these videos, overseeing the content as well financial dealings, Mumbai Police said on Tuesday.
Mumbai Police Commissioner Hemant Nagrale ealier said, “We have arrested Raj Kundra in this case on 19/7/21 as he appears to be the key conspirator of this. We have sufficient evidence regarding this. The investigation is in progress.”
The Property Cell of the Mumbai crime branch had in February this year registered an FIR in connection with the case and arrested nine persons soon after. Kundra’s name came up during the interrogation of the accused, police officers said.
Apart from the case by Mumbai police, Kundra’s name had also cropped up in a similar case that had been registered by the Maharashtra Cyber police last year.
