It looks like Sarileru Neekevvaru is a rehash of many movies of Mahesh. There is a talk it was inspired by Mai Hoo Naa of Sharukh Khan directed by Farha Khan for Shahrukh Khan. Here also Mahesh is an army officer like SRK.
But one of the producers Anil has tweeted that he wants a hype for this movie like Aagadu and content like Dukudu. Aagadu and Dukudu were comedy movies and they are no longer popular with the audience.
The way Anil Sunkara tweeted indicates that aagadu was a big disaster in the career of Mahesh and Dukudu was a hit for those times. But now the same content may not be good for the audience.
Mahesh has reached the next level with Maharshi and people expect class act from Mahesh now. They dont like that foolish comedy acts competing with Brahmanandam.
Even before the release of the movie the producer tweets have started creating doubts among the Mahesh fans and also the audience. It better Anil keeps quite and gives the responsibility to DilRaju who is the right man to publicise a movie.
People were having some doubts with Anil Ravipudi. But Mahesh knows best as to why he agreed for this movie. But Aagadu made good business abroad.
