When the world is talking about the digital transactions and money into the accounts of the beneficiaries directly, Jagan Mohan Reddy the Andhra CM is talking in a different manner.
Jagan promised the beneficiaries that the payment will come to the beneficiaries homes. We do not know if it will be in the form of Cheque. If it is a cheque, the farmers will have to go to the bank again for encashment. If it is cash, then they may face some trouble.
It is not right for Jagan to allow the officials to distribute cash to the beneficiaries. The Jagan Government use the digital transaction mode so that the cash promised to the pensioners and also the farmers will go to the account directly and there would no scope for any corruption.
If you allow the people to handle cash then there will be all sorts of issues to the distributors and also the beneficiaries.
The hint given by Jagan at the Jammalamadugu meeting was that the beneficiaries will get the benefit right at the doorstep. In what form we do not know. If it is in the form of cash, the system will go wrong. If it is in the form of a cheque, it is difficult again to visit the bank and get it encashed.
So it is better for Jagan to rethink over the distribution of benefits to the common man.
