Chief electoral officer Rajath Kumar said that they would try to improve the voting percentage in the state of Telangana. Telangana is going for voting on 7nth December. He said that voter slips would be distributed and more of awareness on voting would be created.There are 32796 polling stations in the state and more than 30000 police are being deployed for effective monitoring of the stations.
Sensitive polling stations would be monitored and webcasting is also being done to monitor the polling status from time to time.18,000 police are from Telangana and the rest 12,000 are being taken from other states for the poll management.If there are any polling chits left over they would be kept at the polling stations so that the respective voters can take them he said. The situation is being on day to day basis he said.
