Danam Nagendar the Hyderabad brother has always been an unlucky man. His choices were wrong. When in Congress he was offered the MP seat from Secunderabad. He refused to take the seat, fearing that Bandaru Dattatreya was a heavyweight and he will not win from Secunderabad. The result was that Congress has won from Secunderabad that time on Dattatreya.
Now Danam is being considered for Goshamahal and Khairatabad. Goshamahal could be confirmed.
Danam then took the seat from Nampally has won the election from TDP as he could not get an MLA seat from the Congress. But the Congress party came to power and Rajasekhar Reddy was the CM. Then he joined the Congress party under Rajasekhar Reddy and became the Minister.
As a Minister, he was close to Rajasekhr reddy. Later in the next election, the TRS came to power when Danam lost the election.
Danam was cooling his heels and never bother to participate in the Congress activities. He was cajoled by Ghulam Nabi Azad and other several times. He tried to join the TRS, but it did not materialise. Now, at last, he has joined the TRS. But so far no seat has been identified for this Hyderabad brother.
He will be a strong candidate in Hyderabad, but which constituency is the question. If he does not get a seat in TRS, then where is he supposed to go is the question. It is reported that KTR, in fact, has assured a seat. for Danam. Danam has requested for Khairtabad it is reported. BJP Ramachandra Reddy is the sitting member and he is a close follower of Jeeyar Swamy who is also close to KCR. There are reports that Danam is being cajoled by some Congress leaders to take a U turn to the Congress again.
