AP CID officials arrived at the residence of former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party leader Chandrababu this morning. CID officials came to his residence in Hyderabad to give notices to Chandrababu on the Amravati assigned land deal.
Chandrababu was given notices on the sale and purchase of land in Amaravathi. Notices were also issued to Chandrababu and former minister Narayana.
CID chief Sunil Kumar said notices had been issued under 41 CRPC. The notices state that Babu is scheduled to appear in court on the 23rd of this month.
Cases have been registered against Chandrababu under Sections 120B, 166, 167 and 217. Concerns in the TDP ranks began with the issuance of CID notices.
Some TDP leaders said that this was expected from the Jagan Government. They opined that Jagan wants to stall the process of Amaravathi in one way or the other.
There is every chance that the CID might book Chandrababu in one way or the other. But Babu has faced several cases of this kind and he might come out of the cases clean with all his political experience.
