Most of the Toddy that is being sold in the state of Telangana is adulterated one with Chemicals. The number of Toddy trees are less and the supply of pure toddy is not up to the demand.
Now the Government is planning to start the Toddy bars. But getting the real liquid right from the trees is very difficult and they are unable to meet the demand.
So adulterated liquid is being sold and people are enjoying it. Some are not happy even if the real pure toddy is supplied. They crave the chemical one only.
The occupation of toddy tappers needs to be transformed and modernized to help them continue their occupation with self-respect, besides initiating measures to curb the sale of adulterated toddy, Minister Ponnam said.
The BRS government earlier opened the Neera cafe on the necklace road and it is doing so so business these days.
All the Governments promise pure toddy supply, but adulterated toddy continues to thrive in the market.
