If the farmers were poor, then someone must have put money for the tractor rally on the Republic day. They claim that around 3 lakh tractors participated in the rally.
On average they travelled about 100 kilometres distance. Each Tractor could have consumed around 10 litres for coming and going. That is Rs 84 per litre multiplied by 10. The expenditure is Rs840 per Tractor.
The figures are being done on an average. The expenditure of diesel for 3 lakh tractors is Rs 252000000 that is 25.2 crore precisely. Whos poured inmoney is the big question.
The farmers could have earned food for one year with this kind of money. Instead the fuel and man power was wasted in the rally and no one like the way they conducted themselves on the republic day.
People openly condemned this when they spoiled the infrastructure of Delhi. They even polluted Delhi with the Diesel vehicles causing hardship to the people.
The police were beaten up like anything. Is this the way the farmers behave. Now we know that this is a sponsored and provoked program implemented by vested interests using the farming community.
There is a talk that some of them were paid for this.
